Honolulu Board of Water Supply

REDI provided resiliency planning for the Honolulu Board of Water Supply (BWS) focused on future new and redevelopment projects for Transit Oriented Development (TOD) to identify water management strategies these redevelopments could undertake that would have multi-agency benefits across the city water, stormwater and wastewater agencies. The effort analyzed present and future site conditions including sea level rise, areas of flooding, water supply and sanitary sewer capacity to determine areas where these incentives would be prioritized. This work also is supporting policy decisions for BWS and serves as a One-Water initiative in line with the Hawaii Freshwater Initiative goals.
