Pūhāwaiulu Processing Facility (MA’O)

MAʻO Organic Farms is dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture and empowering youth through education and mentorship. With support from an EDA grant, a new certified organic processing facility is enabling the farm to greatly boost production of organic produce to local grocers, markets, and restaurants. REDI provided comprehensive water management planning, design and construction documentation for the new packaging facility. Water management strategies include greywater separation from the restrooms to be treated and reused in a greywater garden, rainwater harvesting, bioretention, and washwater recovery to support the farms orchard irrigation needs.
