Windward Mall Rain Gardens

Working with a local nonprofit, Hui o Ko’olaupoko under a Hawaii Department of Health 319 grant, REDI’s team led the Low Impact Retrofit project at Windward Mall. The project consisted of converting existing landscape areas into three bioretention systems (rain gardens) to capture, treat and recharge storm water from sections of the Mall’s parking lots.
